Many of you will know that I love photography, not the playing about on computers creating what you did not see part but the actual taking of an image and liking the result without playing.
So here are a few of my favourite ones.
I do like close up images such as the one above with the early morning dew on it, the colours and lighting I especially like.
The above image was taken by simply leaning over the bridge above and pressing the shutter, the camera was on auto if I remember correctly. It was a sunny day so the camera used a fast shutter speed.
This narrow boat picture is one of my all time favourites, it’s so peaceful with the man plodding along towards the lock to the right of the picture and the dog doing likewise on the top of the cabin.
The picture above of the boat coming under the arch was a case of being in the right place at the right time. The lighting and the reflections were just right.
Here is a rose bud that has been frozen in the winter frost and the ice is just starting to melt.
Swans are beautiful to photograph and are very graceful when in the water. Though it’s advisable not to get too close especially when they have young with them.
This shot was taken at Ilfracombe in Devon, I love the textures and if you look carefully on the right had side you can see steps hewn into the rock.
Here is a shot taken straight into the sun mid-afternoon, I love the effect and the colours.
This was another case of being in the right place at the right time, I was just walking past the local church and took the shot as soon as I saw the light. Another few minutes and the opportunity would have been lost.
So there you have some of my favourite images. I have many more and perhaps I may post some more in the future.
